Hans Klein will lead sales initiatives for DVTEL in Mexico as well as the Central and South American regions
DVTEL appointed Dr. Wassall as vice president of Global Marketing and Hans Klein as vice president

DVTEL, Inc., the video security solutions provider, recently announced that it has expanded its executive team with the addition of two seasoned security professionals. Dr. Ed Wassall has been named Vice President of Global Marketing and Hans Klein joins the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, DVTEL Central & South America. Klein will also serve as General Manager, DVTEL Mexico. Together, these seasoned leaders bring a wealth of experience to the DVTEL team, contributing more than 30 years of combined industry experience.

As Vice President of Global Marketing, Dr. Wassall will be responsible for leading and driving global marketing strategies for DVTEL’s IP product and technology portfolio. Most recently, he served as Senior Director, Samsung North America, where he was responsible for IP product management and development. Previously, Dr. Wassall was Regional Vice President, Security Engineering Solutions at Anixter, and Senior Vice President, National Integration Services for SBC DataComm, a division of Southwestern Bell Communications. Dr. Wassall holds a Ph.D in Information Technology from Webster University.

"The addition of Dr. Wassall to our management team enhances our capabilities as a leading supplier of networked video surveillance solutions,” said Yoav Stern, DVTEL President and CEO. “Ed will emphasise our focus on the substantial value DVTEL brings to its partnerships with VARs and system integrators. Ed is a leader and an innovator in IP video, and his experience in large corporations will help DVTEL as we continue to build momentum within our core business.”

Hans Klein will lead sales initiatives for DVTEL in Mexico, and the Central and South American regions. He currently serves as Managing Director of Senstar/Magal S3 for Latin America, a position he has held for the past 18 years. In this role, he built the business from a start-up phase to upwards of $17 million in annual revenue and more than 35 employees. Previously, Klein was Director of the Electronic Security Division of Daimler-Bentz Aerospace, Mexico, and served in the Special German Police Force for covert operations.  He is a graduate of the Higher Academia of Police of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany and the Mechanical Engineering School in Tuebingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg. He will replace Paul Smith who led operations in Mexico and departed to pursue other opportunities.

“Hans is a unique and talented executive who knows how to sustain customers and motivate employees,” Stern commented. “Our accomplished team in Mexico and CALA is fortunate to have Hans as their leader, and our worldwide management team will gain from Hans's vast experience in the security field.”
