DVTel offers cost-effective, manageable migration to digital network-based security

DVTel Inc., multiple award-winning market leader in delivering integrated IP security solutions for surveillance and monitoring, today announced that the Las Vegas Silverton Hotel Casino has chosen DVTel's Latitude Network Video Management System (NVMS) as a cornerstone of its security system upgrade.  System installation and project oversight is being managed by Augusta Electrical Systems, Inc. of Las Vegas.

The first phase of the security upgrade comprises more than 300 cameras located throughout the gaming and other casino and hotel areas.  All video data is transmitted to the casino surveillance centre, and by utilizing the software-based Latitude NVMS' digital matrix switch technology, any camera can be viewed on any of the security operation's monitors.  The DVTel solution offers multiple advantages over "black box" alternatives like the DVR:  transmitting and managing data over a dedicated IP network, scalability, and system flexibility to accommodate the casino's ambitious growth plans.

Eli Gorovici, DVTel President and CEO remarked, "The casino industry is in a state of transition and it is a very attractive market for IP-based security solutions like ours.  Casinos can't afford to forklift out all that legacy equipment and start over, and they can't tolerate camera downtime either.  Our Silverton installation meets their high technical demands while providing an extremely cost-effective path from analog to digital network-based security."
