DVTEL, INC., the video solutions provider, announced recently that it will expand its video analytics product line by releasing two new ioimage technologies. The new products — an encoder for analogue cameras and a D1 resolution IP camera, both with built-in analytic rules — are aimed at the remote monitoring market, and designed for both commercial and residential installations.

“DVTEL is committed to developing the ioimage product line, and there are some very exciting new products in our roadmap,” said Sagy Amit, Sales Manager, Video Analytics, who recently joined the DVTEL team to manage the ioimage product line. “The market for video analytics is growing significantly especially in remote monitoring applications and high-end markets like critical infrastructure, government and military. DVTEL’s ioimage products are well positioned to serve those markets with unique, reliable and cost-effective solutions.”

Since the DVTEL acquisition, ioimage and DVTel partners have leveraged the powerful analytics engine to help customers secure their facilities, deter crime and maximise ROI by limiting costs and reducing theft.

Virtual Guard Inc., based in Southern California, is an interactive video monitoring solution provider that employs ioimage analytics exclusively. Steve Dvir, President of Virtual Guard commented that, “Our remote monitoring service combined with intelligent video analytics from ioimage helps detect intruders and suspicious behavior, making it a perfect fit for motor vehicle dealerships.”

The OWASCO Auto Group, located in Ontario, Canada, uses the Virtual Guard Service to monitor an Audi and Volkswagen dealership, and an RV business. They previously spent more than $50,000 annually on guards to patrol their lots, but the patrol was ineffective at preventing break-ins and theft. After installing the Virtual Guard solution with ioimage video analytics, OWASCO achieved full ROI in less than one year. Since then, they have experienced zero theft incidents, and multiple events have been prevented — without police intervention — by using the system's built-in audio to remotely deter intruders.

“In the short time that we have had the system installed, it has already proven itself, as one intruder was caught trying to break into our RVs. Without the system in place, we would have been dealing with the headache and costs of damages and theft,” said John Fledderus, CFO, OWASCO Auto Group.

“ioimage partners like Virtual Guard Inc. are highly successful in providing solutions to real-world problems,” Amit said. “Remote monitoring is a natural fit for our products and provides almost immediate ROI compared to other solutions.”
