DVTEL showcases Quasar camera series at ASIS 2012
At booth #3359, attendees will see first-hand demonstrations of DVTEL’s ONVIF-compliant Quasar cameras

DVTEL, INC., the video surveillance solutions provider, announced that it will showcase its Quasar camera series, DVTEL’s HD 1080p ONVIF standards-compliant camera line; TruWitness, an industry-first, award-winning mobile application that turns cell phones into real-time, networked surveillance cameras; and Meridian, an HD-quality Network Video Recorder aimed at the entry-level to mid-market customer, at ASIS 2012 being held Sept. 10-13 at the Philadelphia Convention Centre. At booth #3359, conference attendees can see first-hand demonstrations of DVTEL’s ONVIF-compliant Quasar cameras, its open-systems surveillance solutions, how mobile devices can enhance surveillance coverage and the cost-effective, plug-and-play NVR.

DVTEL’s Quasar video surveillance cameras offer the highest quality video with the most cost effective, lowest bandwidth and storage requirements on the market today. Equipped with tamper and motion detection, edge-based smart search metadata and 3D Digital Noise Reduction, the high-definition cameras provide H.264 video streams for up to 30 frames per second and are ideal in both indoor and outdoor environments. Quasar cameras are compatible with DVTEL’s VMS solutions, a variety of ONVIF-compliant software systems, and other leading VMS platforms.

“DVTEL is dedicated to delivering solutions that allow users to quickly access high-quality, critical security data while simplifying complex installations for our integrator partners,” said Paul Smith, Vice President of Marketing, DVTEL. “Our close collaboration with our open system partners enables the deployment of comprehensive, intelligent IP surveillance efficiently.”

DVTEL will also demonstrate the capabilities of TruWitness, an award-winning mobile application that transforms cell phones into real-time networked surveillance cameras

DVTEL will also demonstrate the capabilities of TruWitness, an award-winning mobile application that transforms cell phones into real-time networked surveillance cameras. Users can tap into the power of their smart devices to stream, record, analyse, review and export video, live from the field, from any location. Available with DVTEL’s Latitude 6.2 VMS, the mobile camera application operates over WiFi, 3G/4G and LTE networks, providing security and operations teams with greater mobility and enhanced awareness. It is supported on Android-based smart phones running on OS version 2.2 and above.

The Meridian NVR appliance addresses the mid-market with an HD-quality recording system that dramatically reduces the cost of deploying megapixel video applications. Key benefits of Meridian NVR include its ease of use, ease of set-up and installation, built-in, PoE-based switch to reduce network switch requirements and easy client operation.
