DVTEL’s Meridian NVR is designed for small-scale deployments
DVTEL will display its latest Meridian, TruWitness Quasar IP camera series at Hall 4, Stand E20

DVTEL, Inc., IP video surveillance technology innovator, will showcase its latest technologies at IFSEC 2012, being held May 14-17 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. Exhibition attendees can view DVTEL’s new entry-level Meridian Integrated Network Video Recorder (NVR), the award-winning TruWitness mobile video application and the Quasar IP camera series at Hall 4, Stand E20.

Based on an open platform approach and automatic plug-and-play configuration, DVTEL’s Meridian NVR is designed for small-scale deployments, as few as four cameras, that require ease of installation and management with a robust feature set required in today’s IP solutions. Meridian’s plug-and-play operation enables installers with basic network expertise to deploy an IP video system with ease. It integrates the functions of an NVR, high-powered Ethernet switch, PoE+ built-in supply and video management software with automatic setup features into a single device.

Introduced to the market in late 2011, DVTEL’s Quasar camera series is a comprehensive suite of HD, broadcast quality cameras, which are also supported by Meridian. Quasar cameras are equipped with tamper detection, video motion detection, edge-based smart search metadata and 3D digital noise reduction. The cameras, which can store up to seven days of captured video on the edge, are part of the DVTEL Snap-In Camera System with standardised housing and interchangeable electronics modules to allow for upgrades without the expense of new wiring.

TruWitness, a 2012 Security Industry Association New Product Showcase winner and the industry’s first mobile application that transforms smart phones into real-time, networked surveillance cameras, will also be featured at IFSEC. The application enables users to leverage their smart phones to stream, record and analyse video from anywhere in the world through WiFi, 3G/4G and LTE networks. TruWitness is available with DVTEL’s Latitude 6.2 VMS and operational on Android-based smart phones with OS version 2.2 and above.

“We see continued demand for our open platform, surveillance solutions internationally, and IFSEC provides us with a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate first-hand the depth of our engineering accomplishments to the European market,” said Yoav Stern, President and CEO, DVTEL.
