The magnetic alarm contact and the PIR curtain detector are part of Elpas’ growing portfolio of Active RFID Transmitters
Elpas, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco, will show two new Wireless Intrusion Detectors designed for native integration with Location-Based Tracking Solutions at the IFSEC International Exhibition(Booth 5/D10 & 5/E10, Hall 5), 13-16 May, 2013.

The Magnetic Alarm Contact provides wireless perimeter protection for doors and windows, whilst the wireless PIR Curtain Detector detects unauthorised people movement inside sensitive building areas. Both devices are aimed at security professionals who are seeking unified technology platforms that seamlessly integrate intrusion functionality with location-based security tracking for mid-to-large scale projects.

“There is a growing need for unified security management and these wireless intrusion detectors ensure seamless operability with Location-Based Tracking. This provides security directors with one simple, intuitive user interface,” said Michael Wasserstein, General Manager of Elpas Solutions. “Native integration between perimeter security and real-time tracking platforms create unified systems that are easy to install, operate and maintain.”

The Magnetic Alarm Contact and the PIR Curtain Detector are part of Elpas’ growing portfolio of application specific Active RFID Transmitters. Facilities can leverage one scalable location tracking system and infrastructure for asset management, intrusion detection, staff protection, as well as infant abduction protection. Elpas location-based tracking solutions provide safety, security and visibility throughout any facility to help reduce costs and increase ROI.

Both Wireless Intrusion Detectors will be available through Elpas’ worldwide network of qualified partners, beginning late second quarter, 2013.
