This year's ISC West 2007, promises to be more of everything!  More security product manufacturers, more security professionals, more new programming and more education!  With all of this, ISC West continues to surpass others as the premier, annual gathering of the security industry.

To date, the ISC West overall pre-registration number is up by an average of 10 percent comparatively from last year's number at this time, according to ISC West registration data.  With approximately 8 weeks left to go to show time, this indicates that there will be an influx of new security professional prospects at the show.  These numbers are pre-audited.  Final attendance numbers will be available after a third-party audit is conducted at the close of this year's event.

In other information, the demographic profile of the ISC West pre-registration attendee is consistent with last year's breakdown.

"To date, we are pacing to attract as many dealer/installers as end-users of security products.  Another interesting number that we are taking a look at is the increase in systems integrators which appears to be one of the fastest growing attendee segments," said Dean Russo, group vice president of the ISC portfolio.

"We're excited for this year's event.  Not only have added new programming and special show floor features, ISC West will be larger than last year with many new companies; first quarter, new product introductions, a larger show floor and an enhanced New Product Showcase awards program.  All of this presents an excellent opportunity for all security professionals to start out their new year on excellent footing."

Among the highlights:

  • The return of the popular Urban Security@ISC West event.  The Urban Security event will feature the latest products and newest technologies that protect cities and public/private critical infrastructure.  Designed to provide easy product sourcing for the system integrator, installer or government buyer or end-user, Urban Security will offer more product advancements and latest solutions that are shaping the future of municipal and urban protection. Pre-registered attendees indicated an increased purchasing interest in Outdoor Perimeter Protection and Detection Equipment.  Companies such as Blackhawk and Boeing will be participating.
  • New! Smart Home@ISC West will showcase the latest products, solutions and technologies that are now available for Residential Installations such as Home Audio/Video, Home Networking / Communications, Home Automation Controls and home electrical.  Pre-registered attendees indicated a robust interest in the following SmartHome areas:  Audio/Video/Home Theater = 21%;  Communication Systems = 18%;  Network/Internet = 18%.  Companies such as AVAD and Russound will be participating in Smart Home.
  • The New Product Showcase (NPS) presented by ISC West and SIA, will feature the cutting-edge products and technologies of some one hundred companies.  The NPS program highlights the many new technologies, products and services that enable security professionals to stay on the cutting-edge.
  • The ISC West Education program will be expanded to include many more in-depth educational opportunities for virtually every security professional. From pre-show, behind-the-scenes Casino Tours and the return of the IP Institute full-day certification program, ISC Education presents professional and personal development opportunities including CEU credits and professional designations.  An additional component to this year's IP Institute program is the debut of its Level 2 program. The Level 2 IP Institute Program offers a hands-on training program that is designed and developed to take security professionals through a multitude of practical labs and exercises in the convergence of physical security into the IT/IS environment.  At the end participants will earn a professional designation and title of Physical Security Network Associate (PSNA) after completing Level 1 and Physical Security Network Professional after Level 2 completion.

ISC West is sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA) and endorsed by the California Alarm Association (CAA) and the NBFAA. For the past four years, ISC West has been ranked as one of Tradeshow Week's "Fastest 50 Growing Events."
