Moxa manufactures an array of industrial-grade IP network solutions

Low-voltage distribution leader Alarmax, recognised as having one of the industry's broadest selections of security solutions, and Moxa recently announced that the two companies have entered into an agreement in which Alarmax will distribute Moxa's hardened IP network video surveillance products and high-performance edge-to-core industrial Ethernet solutions.

Moxa manufactures an array of industrial-grade IP network solutions that includes rugged IP cameras, video encoders, mobile servers, PoE Ethernet switches, wireless access points, bridge and client solutions. Unlike standard IP products, Moxa's IP surveillance equipment is robust enough to deliver non-stop IP video streaming and recording functionality for extreme applications, featuring wide operating temperature ranges (-40 to 75°C), level 3 EMI/EMC protection, IP66 rain/dust rating, and key industrial certifications.

"As the security industry continues its migration away from analog CCTV and towards networked IP video surveillance, Moxa is playing an important role in providing installers with a full range of hardened IP network solutions for hazardous industrial locations, extreme outdoor environments and other demanding applications," said Todd Desso, Strategic Business Manager for Moxa. "We have full confidence that Moxa's IP products will be well represented by AlarMax's trained staff and that our customers will have full access to our product line via its 23 nationwide branches."

Roger Graf, President of AlarMax, commented: "We are excited to sign this agreement with Moxa, which enables AlarMAX customers to purchase exceptionally rugged equipment for areas that typically could not be protected by IP video surveillance. This new partnership with Moxa reaffirms our commitment to working with the industry's most innovative suppliers."
