Henk Jan Spanjaard will oversee sales activities, including channel partnerships across the region

A10 Networks, a technology leader in application networking, recently announced the appointment of Henk Jan Spanjaard as vice president of EMEA Sales. In this role, Henk Jan Spanjaard will oversee sales activities, including channel partnerships across the region.

Spanjaard is a seasoned industry veteran, with over 20 years’ experience working in computer storage, security and data management. He formerly served in senior leadership roles at companies including NetApp, Imperva and InfoBlox. He joins the company at a time of significant interest by customers, channel partners, and technology companies in the three products of the Thunder portfolio-based on ACOS, A10 Networks’ unique software platform: the ADC (application delivery controller), CGN (carrier grade networking) and new Thunder TPS (threat protection system) DDoS mitigation solutions.

“Henk Jan’s appointment is recognition that strong growth in EMEA needs senior leadership to help guide our sales teams and channel partners to capitalise on the opportunity,” said Ray Smets, vice president worldwide sales at A10 Networks. “Henk Jan is an experienced and proven sales leader who has worked in high-growth sectors. We believe this new appointment will strengthen our channel relationships and presence across the theatre.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining A10 Networks at such an exciting time in the progression of the company,” said Spanjaard. “Organisations, whether service providers, web giants, public sector or Fortune 500 corporations, face critical challenges in terms of performance, security, energy efficiency and IPv6 migration. We can support them to successfully meet these challenges. The company is an exciting market leader in application networking. The innovation shown by our Advanced Core Operating System and Thunder portfolio provides a great opportunity to win increasing market share within the application delivery controller and cloud network security markets. This is a great team and partner community. I’m looking forward to working together to help A10 Networks achieve its potential within this growing sector.”
