Samsung Techwin America, a global supplier of video surveillance and security products combining superior performance and value, recently unveiled the SCV-3082 vandal-resistant dome camera and the SCO-3080R weather-proof IR bullet camera. These next generation cameras feature premium resolution of 650 lines, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and SSNRIII (2D+3D Samsung Super Noise Reduction). The cameras are each designed to withstand harsh outdoor weather conditions and feature a host of innovative functions and technology that provide outstanding results in a variety of lighting conditions.

The SCV-3082 high performance vandal-resistant dome camera delivers quality images in low-light environments down to 0.1 lux. Its true Day/Night (ICR) technology automatically switches the ICR filter for optimal 24 hour surveillance monitoring and its built-in 2.8-11mm (3.9x) varifocal lens enables a wide angle viewing range. Combined with a panning range of 352° and a tilt range of 73°, the SCV-3082 dome camera’s video analytics functionality can assist operators in quickly identifying potential issues. On-board intelligent video analytics include fixed/moved, fence, tracking, detection and counting. The camera can be powered by 12 VDC or 24VAC and controlled through the coax using the Pelco “C” protocol.

The SCO-3080R weather-proof IR bullet camera captures images in complete darkness at distances up to 164 feet. True Day/Night (ICR) technology and an integrated 3.6x (2.8-10mm) auto iris lens support demanding 24/7 outdoor surveillance applications such as parking lots, perimeter fencing, construction sites and so on. Outstanding images are additionally ensured with SSNRIII Samsung Super Noise Reduction technology which eliminates image noise in low-light conditions without creating ghosting or blurring and with Digital Image Stabilisation (DIS) technology which can negate the effects of camera shaking due to high winds or building vibration. For added convenience, the camera can be powered by

12VDC or 24VAC and remotely controlled via RS-485 or through the coax using the Pelco “C” protocol.

“These new additions to Samsung’s line of outdoor video surveillance cameras provide an affordable and innovative solution for new and retrofit outdoor video surveillance deployments,” said Frank De Fina, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Samsung Techwin America. “Samsung will continue to support legacy video surveillance systems with new cameras and recording solutions that enhance the performance and overall efficiency of their operations.”

The SCV-3082 dome camera is IP66- rated for use in harsh environments and featured an aluminum die-cast chassis to ensure impact durability. The SCO-3080R IR bullet camera is also IP66-rated and can withstand temperatures ranging from 14°F to 122°F.
