ADPRO FastTrace provides the most fl exible multi-site video security system available
BMW Park Lane, world's most prestigious car dealership groups installed ADPRO FastTrace

The challenge

BMW Park Lane is one of the world's most prestigious car dealership groups, so the company was only willing to consider a highly reliable and sophisticated security system with a fi rst-class reputation to guard its high profile London sites.

However, BMW Park Lane had to ensure that any system complemented its existing network, providing a cost effective and practical solution. A wide area network connects all of BMW Park Lane's sites and the company wanted a means to efficiently deliver video images. The car dealership also sought a way to remotely monitor and control alarms on sites at all times.

The solution

Following an extensive tender process, security system provider Intruder International plc convinced BMW Park Lane of its expertise in meeting these requirements. Intruder International proposed Xtralis's ADPRO FastTrace as part of a major integrated CCTV, access control and intruder detection programme across the car dealership's six sites.

ADPRO FastTrace is the definitive multi-site video security system that delivers rapid and reliable retrieval of watermarked images or live video over a wide range of communication networks.

When used in conjunction with PC-based software package Video Central, ADPRO FastTrace provides the most flexible multi-site video security system available. Video Central Gold, selected for BMW Park Lane, is the full-featured edition for single and multi-user environments supporting multiple operators, communication devices and PCs.

The results

ADPRO FastTrace is the definitive multi-site video security system that delivers rapid and reliable retrieval of watermarked images

With ADPRO FastTrace now installed, the car dealership can rest assured it has trustworthy security management across its showrooms and service centres within the capital. Monitoring is undertaken at the car dealership's central control room, enabling a fast and effective response to any incidents. BMW Park Lane can remotely monitor and control alarms on sites at all times.

One of the unique features of ADPRO FastTrace is its advanced video compression technology, which has proved highly advantageous for BMW Park Lane.

Comments James Thornton, Park Lane BMW's Head of Security: "We were very impressed with this significant video compression, as it enables fast access over more limited bandwidth links. We wanted the assurance that we could deliver images to multiple locations without overloading our wide area network.

"We were also particularly impressed with the product's integrated video alarm verification feature. ADPRO FastTrace alerts us to the presence of intruders before an attempted break-in, and the causes of alarm can be viewed centrally, from our security control room in Battersea."
