Security Partners fourth strategic operations center, a Las Vegas-based facility is considered the crown jewel of the company’s nationwide footprint
Guzman will be responsible for the operations of the Security Partners Anaheim strategic operations center

As Security Partners prepares to open a state-of-the-art strategic operations centre in Las Vegas, the company has tapped a California-based security professional to handle its expanding operations.

Rick Guzman, of Corona, Calif., who has 22 years of experience in the alarm monitoring industry, will oversee all West Coast operations. For Guzman, who served as an assistant operations manager for a predecessor of Security Partners – a company called Central Station Security Systems (CSSS) – the move is the ideal fit.

Guzman will be responsible for the operations of the Security Partners Anaheim strategic operations centre to accommodate the continued growth of its interactive monitoring services and dealer base in California. In addition, Guzman will take the helm of the company’s fourth strategic operations centre, a Las Vegas-based facility considered the crown jewel of the company’s nationwide footprint. The facility is set to open in April.

Guzman said he still enjoys strong relationships with many of the dealers and other partners in Anaheim, from his days managing the central station. He is eager to build on those relationships in his work in Anaheim, where he will be responsible for the day-to-day operations.

“Our Las Vegas facility brings together the best and brightest minds of the industry to create the type of strategic operations centre that many have never seen before,” Guzman said. “My role is to assemble the most talented and experienced team, which can work with new technology to best serve our dealers across the nation.”

Guzman said he is eager to join Security Partners because of its track record for quality and growth, as well as its vision for the future of the wholesale monitoring industry. Moreover, he said, he was uniquely qualified for the position because of his career history in Anaheim and the professional relationships that have been developed over the years.

“I can’t underscore how vital of a position Rick has with our company,” said Steve Ipson, vice president of operations for Security Partners, headquartered in Lancaster, Pa. “In recent years, Security Partners has invested heavily in our West Coast operations, which we have built up through our operations in both Anaheim and Las Vegas.”

“To maximise the enormous potential, we need to tap the right person to run these critical strategic operation centers,” added Mike Bodnar, president of Security Partners.“Rick was the obvious pick.”

Guzman has direct experience in all areas of a monitoring center, as he has worked over the years as a trainer, supervisor, shift manager and operations manager,as well as coordinated sales, marketing and dealer services.

“One of the most satisfying parts of my work has been to work with people, solve issues and ensure the operation is running at an optimal level,” Guzman said. “My new position with Security Partners is a natural next step in my career. I look forward to maximising the potential of both our Anaheim and Las Vegas operations and demonstrate how Security Partners is the top wholesale monitoring operation on the West Coast.”
