ONCAM, the world’s leader in 360-degree CCTV surveillance technology, recently announced its integration with Pelco by Schneider Electric.

Oncam will integrate its 360-degree technology with Pelco’s Digital Sentry (DS) IP video management system to provide end-users with ultimate total situational awareness.

Pelco by Schneider Electric has always been a leader in the surveillance space: now it adds to its successful portfolio by incorporating Oncam’s 360-degree technology and unique dewarping software.

Key features of the new DS experience include:

  • Oncam Technology: when integrated directly into the VMS platform, it provides total coverage with no blind spots and an unobstructed field of view enabling multiple angles of any scene, including both 180-degree and 360-degree panoramas, with PTZ.
  • Retrospective dewarping: the Oncam 360-degree technology vaults the DS platform to the top – it is literally the world’s best forensic tool as it enables the customers to navigate around any scene retrospectively, providing total situational awareness at the user’s finger tips.
  • Multiple users: having Oncam technology integrated into the DS platform allows multiple operators to track multiple threats from a single camera, either live or recorded – this is the total situational awareness needed for effective and efficient security.

Greg Alcorn, senior vice president of Oncam, said: “We’ve worked closely with Pelco by Schneider Electric to ensure they can provide their customers with the very best available 360-degree technology.”

“If users want to augment 360-degree technology with traditional surveillance, the entire scene will be truly and completely presented, and critical, natural situational awareness obtained.”

John Minasyan, director of VMS at Schneider Electric, said: “Digital Sentry continues to support innovative technology from a wide and growing variety of camera manufacturers.

“It was a natural fit for us to incorporate Oncam’s 360-degree technology, giving the very best experience possible to our customers.”

With its Pelco video portfolio, Schneider Electric is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of video security systems. For more information visit www.pelco.com.
