The audit covers CC requirements in terms of Development Security and Configuration Management Capabilities

StarChip®, experts in designing, qualifying and industrialising Smart Card ICs, recently announced that as part of CC EAL5+ certification of its banking and ID products, the company has been audited with a PASS verdict according to Common Criteria (CC) 3.1 rev 4 site visit requirements.

The company recently moved its headquarters and development centre to a new location equipped with the latest security systems and fully compliant with the highly demanding Common Criteria certification processes.

The audit performed by Thales Communications & Security (ANSSI Licensed Laboratory) covers CC requirements in terms of Development Security (ALC_DVS.2) and Configuration Management Capabilities (ALC_CMC.4).

The positive audit result is in line with the company objective of becoming a worldwide leader providing high reliable embedded security solutions. StarChip is currently developing a broad portfolio of products aimed at addressing the ID and banking markets. Achieving CC certification will help position the company as a key player security expert of the smart card industry.
