MicroPower Technologies, Inc., the award-winning provider of wireless surveillance solutions optimised for rapid, cost-effective deployment, recently announced the appointment of Alex Kazim to its advisory board effective immediately. Kazim, currently Senior Vice President, hp.com, will lend his extensive business and leadership expertise with high-growth companies to the MicroPower management team.

Kazim’s experience spans various start-up organisations and global enterprises on the cutting edge of technology. His strategic knowledge of growth-focused organisations supports MicroPower’s position as the leading provider of wireless surveillance and security solutions for commercial and professional use.

Prior to his role at HP, Kazim was Co-Founder and CEO at Ongo, a next-generation news aggregator and Tokoni, an online story-sharing provider. In 2006, he served as President of Skype, where he was responsible for product development and innovation of the company's offerings on a global scale. From 1998 to 2006, Kazim served in various executive management roles at eBay, including Vice President of Marketing and Business Operations at PayPal and Senior Vice President of New Ventures, where he started eBay’s classifieds business and drove the acquisitions of Shopping.com and Skype.

Kazim holds a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University.
