MicroPower’s discussion will cover misconceptions of wireless IP cameras, including wireless connectivity and video quality
MicroPower's Director of Product Management to lead the presentation on wireless IP camera implementations

MicroPower Technologies, Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimised for rapid, cost-effective deployment, announced that the company will participate in an educational session at ESX 2012, being held June 25-29 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Allyn Pon, Director of Product Management, MicroPower Technologies, will lead the presentation, titled “The Secrets of Wireless IP Camera Implementations.” The discussion will cover the common misconceptions of wireless IP cameras, including wireless connectivity, video quality, transmission reliability, data security and installation complexities. The session will also outline when implementing a wireless IP camera is more practical than traditional solutions, highlight recent innovations in wireless IP surveillance technology and preview upcoming technology improvements. The seminar will be held Thursday, June 28 from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., in room 209.

“Wireless surveillance is an increasingly important option but the term itself is misleading. Traditional ‘wireless’ cameras must be provided with power and that requires cabling,” Pon said. “MicroPower specialises in technologies that are truly wireless to enable cameras to be installed in far-reaching and varied locations. I look forward to discussing this next evolution of wireless security with the attendees of the ESX event.”

MicroPower surveillance solutions dramatically improve the economics of system deployment through patented technology that delivers improvements in performance and power without compromising video quality and reliability. Its comprehensive surveillance system, which includes the Rugged-i™ and the MiniHub™, can be deployed in a matter of hours as no wires or trenching is required, reducing installation times by up to 90 percent over traditional systems.
