Unprecedented sales of the SeeSense IK-HR1P “CS” compact full HD camera, has led the company to manufacture a second and improved batch of this unique upgraded version of the Toshiba IK-HR1S camera.

The new front of the SeeSense version of the camera includes major flare related refinements to the sensor mask to reduce any non-image forming light contamination of the sensor. Additionally the casting surface is chemically blacked to minimise internal reflections between the lens and camera. Compatibility with existing C-mount lenses is maintained with a C-CS adaptor 5mm ring included with the upgraded camera.

CS-mount versions of the Toshiba IK-HR1S camera now benefit hugely from the ever-increasing range and availability of some superb megapixel lens solutions. Very short focal lengths and wider apertures are available on both prime and varifocal CS lenses, fully realising the cameras new potential, especially in low light applications.

SeeSense MD Nigel Paine said “There is no point using a compact camera as exceptional as those from Toshiba and not compliment it with the best quality lens possible. We are the only company to have identified and followed through with this high quality CS-mount solution”.

“The new CS mount solution can also be fitted on the Toshiba IK-HR1D and the IK-HR2D 1-CMOS DVI cameras. It only takes imagination to find innovative solutions for these compact HD cameras. Known applications include sports broadcast, in car, natural history, industrial and scientific research as well as casino table play security.  SeeSense can also offer upgrade deals to existing Toshiba IK-HR1S camera end users, so contact us directly for details”.
