By installing the Castel CAP IP Intercom, Corps Security now has 24-hour intercom communication at its London premises

Castel’s new system directs all communication through to Corps Security’s own remote monitoring centre in Glasgow

When Corps Security, the specialist security solutions provider, wanted to upgrade security at the entrance to its London offices, a full IP intercom solution was required.

Castel has been producing communication and access control technology since the 1970s, with its main emphasis on IP solutions since 2004. This longstanding expertise meant that the company was ideally placed to provide the right solution for Corps Security. The new system reroutes calls to the reception area after business hours or, if the phone is unanswered, directs all communication through to Corps Security’s own remote monitoring centre in Glasgow.

Darren Elvin, Managing Director of ICL Solutions, the installation contractor, is delighted with the solution. ICL and Corps Security chose the Castel solution because of the simplicity of installation (PoE) and programming,” he said. “Castel has a good reputation for providing a fast turnaround and even preconfigured the solution for us, saving us a huge amount of time on site.”

By installing the Castel CAP IP Intercom, Corps Security now has 24-hour intercom communication at its London premises, providing peace of mind with minimum inconvenience. By using its own remote monitoring centre, Corps Security also reduces running costs, making this a very cost-effective solution.
