ISM appoints Pye to aid overseas expansion plan and achieve 100% growth target within 5 years
Geoffrey Pye brings to the table a wealth of experience and expertise

PSIM and intercom systems manufacturer ISM have announced the appointment of respected security industry expert Geoffrey Pye, (Former MD of Optex) as General Manager. Pye will head up the ISM team, reporting to the Board with a remit to achieve what Stephen Smith Sales and Marketing Director describes as “Bold but attainable growth targets in the next 5 years.”

Underpinning the 100% growth target is ISM’s continued expansion into export markets with America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East firmly on the leader board. “We are delighted to have secured the appointment of Geoffrey,” says Smith. “He brings to the table a wealth of experience and expertise, not least in strategic planning. If you look at the market for security products and systems, PSIMs are bucking the trend with huge growth predictions. Having completed marketing testing in the USA we can corroborate this. The levels of interest we are now experiencing are nothing short of extraordinary. Go back a few years and the door opening process to gain even a flicker of interest was onerous and time consuming. But now when key decision makers take even the briefest of looks at our PSIM Genesys and our intercom system Ultimate they ‘get it’ immediately; they understand what sets us apart from other manufacturers and are specifying our systems as a consequence. In the last three months we have appointed three new partners in America to provide the technical support and back up so that we can service the levels of business that we are forecasting.”

With eyes firmly on the export market, it begs the question, has ISM relinquished its dominance of the UK market. “We have a complementary parallel strategy,” says David Jenkins, Managing Director. “The UK is still very much a growth market evidenced by the fact that in the last year we have been awarded more cell call projects from police authorities throughout the UK than ever and, demand for our telephone entry systems from local authorities is at an all time high too.”

Jenkins continues, “The first quarter of 2013 has been our best to date. So it is expansion on all fronts as we continue to build our reputation locally and globally and Geoffrey is the ideal person to strengthen our team further still. ISM is proof if it were needed that British manufacturing can still lead the world and set the standard for innovation, design and service.”
