SMS4 release 4, launched recently, adds system integrity assurance, a continuous assessment of the health of the system to ensure every part is operating correctly. This safeguards the evidential chain and brings peace of mind that when a situational response is called for the system is ready and capable.

Operators are now alerted the instant there is a problem, whether camera, storage or network-related, letting them see what is wrong and where. Automatic escalation ensures that no integrity alert is missed, passing messages further up the chain to ensure they are resolved. Operators are driven to organise immediate repair and close unmonitored areas as appropriate. As examples, a certain percentage of cameras in casinos must be operational for gaming to occur and diamond processing and cash counting demand continuous recording to prevent fraud, and operations must be halted if system integrity is breached.

Mr. Chad Wright, Group General Manager of Naskam Security, said "IndigoVision's release 4 of SMS4 gives us immediate and accurate information on possible system breaches. This allows us to act promptly, minimising downtime and maximising our confidence in our chain of evidence and our ability to respond."

This release also contains improved video display options to let operators choose how they view an incident, while continuing to monitor other cameras. When an alert comes in, any pane of the Control Center viewing display can be chosen to show what is happening - and will return to displaying the previous camera as soon as the alert is cleared. All other screens will continue to display their cameras, so that nothing is missed.

SMS4 release 4 is the latest evolution of IndigoVision's software towards full situation management. Users can upgrade through IndigoVision's Software Upgrade Program (SUP).
