IndigoVision, leading manufacturer of security management systems, has introduced escalation of alert based on proximity to the zone of an event.

For example, when an intruder breaches a perimeter that automatically escalates the alert into neighbouring zones. As the target proceeds through the facility the system is pre-armed to watch for them.

This powerful feature gives operatives an overview of a developing situation through the ‘ripple' of zone escalation across a site. Armed buffer zones are visualised on the mapping interface, giving a clear picture of the developing threat. This extremely intuitive way of monitoring unfolding situations both arms the system so that it responds in the optimal way, and keeps personnel informed as to the progression of an intrusion.

IndigoVision CEO Oliver Vellacott commented: "This gives operators the best possible understanding of what's happening right now - and what's likely to happen next. The software helps them do their job by judging the next move of any threat and making sure all relevant areas are monitored."

This capability is included in release 3 of SMS4 management software, which can be accessed through IndigoVision's Software Upgrade Program (SUP).

SMS4 is IndigoVision's complete suite of management software, controlling all hardware to put the user in the driving seat. With management of multi-agency situations through pervasive access to video, SMS4 release 3 empowers its users to greatly increase their response time and resilience.
