With AES’ pioneering mesh technology, alarm dealers and installers get a fire and burglary communication system that is completely owner-controlled
AES will be bringing new tools, services and solutions to market this year

AES Corporation, the leading manufacturer of long-range private wireless communications equipment, recently marked its fortieth anniversary with heightened demand for its patented security technology and solutions. The Company also unveiled aggressive plans aimed at businesses and government agencies that are struggling with sunsetting cellular and telephone technologies.

“When I founded AES in 1974, it was with the intent of helping enterprises transform and vastly improve how they secure their assets. It’s exciting to see that spirit of innovation continuing to drive AES and benefit our customers. Thanks to the close working partnerships we enjoy with customers around the world, AES is able to deliver disruptive solutions that uniquely address their most critical life safety and property protection needs,” said Michael Sherman, founder, CEO and CTO of AES Corporation.

Many traditional alarm products are based on 2G and 3G cellular technology, which service providers are phasing out for 4G and 5G. Users can experience service interruptions when bandwidth is taken away from 2G/3G and alarm dealers need to upgrade alarm systems. In addition, many end-users of security services are abandoning traditional plain old telephone service (POTS) in favor of voice over IP (VoIP). As a result, the 800 numbers used to transmit alarm signals no longer work.

“Nothing is more important to alarm businesses than providing consistently reliable service, but that’s becoming increasingly difficult to do. AES eliminates the very costly and potentially dangerous issues associated with obsoleting cellular and telephone technologies,” said Gary Shottes, President of AES Corporation. “We’re seeing tremendous demand for AES solutions by organisations that want to future-proof their alarm services. Not only are we proven at delivering highly cost-effective solutions that are not dependent on any public communications technologies, never sunset and consistently operate at peak performance, we have a strong roadmap of innovations that will ensure customers’ ongoing success.”

With AES’ pioneering mesh technology, alarm dealers and installers get a fire and burglary communication system that is completely owner-controlled and delivers superior reliability and higher recurring revenue. In 2014, AES is bringing to market new tools, services and solutions that make it easier than ever for customers to expand their AES-based networks, improve efficiencies and increase profitability.
