This year we launched new 2.0 versions of our Access 7 C and Access 8 CD readers. These new readers provide much lower power consumption than similar readers on the market, enabling you to significantly lower your energy costs. Low power consumption in turn lowers a site’s backup power requirement, translating to lower overall installation costs – giving you yet another advantage over your competitors. As a system supplier you benefit further from the convenience of all future configurations and reader updates being made without ever uninstalling these readers from the wall.

Access 8 CD 2.0 is particularly notable as an unmatched migration reader, facilitating future upgrades from MIFARE to DESFire. The reader can be deployed initially as a MIFARE® reader (e.g. accommodating Classic transponders in your current system) and later, when the time is right, 8 CD 2.0 will reconfigure to DESFire merely by exposing the reader to a configuration card. When you purchase your own DESCoder software you can ensure shorter delivery times for your customers by performing customised configurations yourself. Finally, both Access 7 C 2.0 and Access 8 CD 2.0 are available in all reader housing options. Convenient, intuitive and secure; what’s not to like?
