Idesco readers are built around a non-proprietary open technology, MIFARE®
Gonen Automation deployed 32 Idesco Access 7 C readers for Royal Euroma’s project

Idesco’s Access 7 C readers were recently chosen by Gonen Automation for an access control system they designed for Royal Euroma, Wapenweld, in the Netherlands. Royal Euroma, the leading manufacturer of flavours and ingredients in Europe, articulated parallel goals of increasing worker safety and ensuring a hygienic environment in their facility. To achieve these goals, they decided to implement an access control system covering their external and internal doors. They selected the Eagle web application of Gonen Automation for the uniquely modern and convenient features of their solutions, together with Gonen’s ability to fully integrate these features into a single system.

Gonen Automation was already familiar with Idesco readers, having worked with them in previous projects. They knew Idesco’s readers offered superior configurability and convenience. For example, they knew Royal Euroma’s future system updates could be made easily and cost-effectively since Idesco readers wouldn’t need to be uninstalled. Additionally, since Idesco readers are built around a non-proprietary open technology, MIFARE®, they seamlessly accommodated Royal Euroma’s existing population of MIFARE® transponders. Altogether, Gonen Automation chose and deployed 32 Idesco Access 7 C readers for Royal Euroma’s project.

Gonen Automation’s Eagle system provided many important benefits for Royal Euroma. Doors could be remotely opened or closed through via web and event reports can now be sent by SMS or e-mail. Automatic alarms can be programmed whenever a particular door remains open too long. The system’s administrator has constant access to the list of individuals inside a building at any given moment. In the event of an emergency this list is automatically reported. Additionally, the registration and guiding of guests during their visits constitutes yet another integral feature of Gonen’s Eagle application.

Gonen Automation’s web-based technology provides a variety of modules from which customers may choose according to their needs. Royal Euroma has now implemented Access Control, Presence Registration and the Visitors Registration modules. In the future, Royal Euroma intend to implement Gonen’s Eagle Time & Attendance module, also conveniently interfacing with Idesco Access 7 C readers and their robustly configurable support for Gonen’s Automation’s modules.
