G4S Technology announces the launch of the Symmetry V7 software. This feature-rich release builds on the extensive Symmetry Security Management System with new modules, features and dynamic enhancements that significantly improve functionality, reliability, security and compatibility.  All Symmetry software suites, including Professional, Enterprise and Global Editions and all optional modules are now available in Symmetry V7. This simplifies the Symmetry product offering and allows end users to easily upgrade to the newest version easily.

We are excited to launch our V7 security management solution, giving our customers a straightforward growth path for the future,” said G4S Technology, Managing Director, International Sales, David Young.

The most noticeable update to the software is the redesigned Symmetry interface and architecture. The new design displays all menus and toolbars in a series of function related tabs encouraging objective based workflows. A user configurable, ‘quick access’ toolbar is also available for easy access to all commonly used Symmetry features.

A new free of charge standard feature, Task Manager, is also included within the software enabling users to create, process and manage tasks efficiently. Additional optional modules include Symmetry Workflow Designer, a tool for users to define specific workflows relating to alarm acknowledgements, and Safety Roll Call (Muster) with an extensive range of features.

Alarm acknowledgement and management functions have seen many changes to create a more streamlined and efficient process. Additional hardware integrations are now also available for Honeywell Galaxy intrusion panels and NEC Express Cluster support. The latest Windows Operating Systems including 32 and 64 bit variants of Windows 2008 and SQL 2008 are also fully supported.

This new version of Symmetry redefines the way licensing is achieved.  Symmetry Video Management now comes built-in as standard.  With Symmetry V7, card reader licenses and Network video integrations, cameras or third party video systems, can be added as required, providing easy security system expansion when needed. There is also extended support for Sony and Panasonic Network Camera models.

The new Symmetry software has been designed and developed to expand the Symmetry Security Management System from the traditional Access Control and Video Management solution into a complete Security platform capable of managing all site security functions via a single interface. The additional optional modules available through Symmetry create a truly comprehensive security management package.
