The cameras all integrate into G4S Technology’s Symmetry Security Management System |
G4S Technology has launched a new range of high definition network cameras at the 16th edition of INTERSEC. G4S Technology is the technology arm of Middle East’s largest multi-solution security provider G4S.
These cameras mark a notable progress in the ability of security surveillance cameras to form part of an integrated security system. There are nine cameras in the new range designed to satisfy both indoor and outdoor security needs. They all offer the full 1080P video resolution at full frame rate, which is considered the benchmark for network cameras today.
“G4S is committed to lead the market with intelligent and bespoke safety and security solutions. During INTERSEC this year we are excited about being able to offer the market this advanced range of HD cameras in addition to a range of security products that we have the expertise to deploy”, said Chris Fergus, Managing Director, G4S Middle East.
The cameras all integrate into G4S Technology’s Symmetry Security Management System enabling a fully integrated access control and video management application. The cameras also support alarm management activity and identity management all aligned with the Symmetry software.
What makes these cameras stand out is that they all include advanced motion detection as a standard and also offers an option to activate full on-board video content analytics. Additional key characteristic of this range are fixed domes that offer a new remote controllable repositioning feature. This allows the camera direction to be moved and the camera refocused without the need for a technician to visit the camera. This significantly reduces the labour cost of camera deployments while the camera itself remains a more economical option than a full pan tilt zoom model.

By adding this new range of cameras with their analytic capabilities to our Symmetry platform we can now detect meaningful alarm events from video, and these alarms can interact with all of the triggering and workflow capabilities of Symmetry”.
As well as the new HD network camera range, G4S Technology showcased its Symmetry Security Management System, a single platform solution encompassing Access Control, Video Management and Alarm Management, its recently released range of card readers, and a wide range of technology integrations with best of breed partners.
In addition to this G4S also featured its Manned Security Services, Cash Solutions, Risk Consulting and Facilities Management capability at the stand, to demonstrate its role as a multi-security solution provider.
The camera range was displayed at INTERSEC from 19th – 21st January 2014 on G4S stand - S3-517P in Hall Saeed 3.
