CNL Software, a world leader in Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, is pleased to announce that it has further enhanced its Senior Management Team and Board with the appointment of Darren Atkinson to the role of Chief Technology Officer. Atkinson will be responsible for the Software Development, Product Marketing and Project Services teams in line with the company’s global growth strategy.

Darren held CTO & IT Director positions for several organisations

With major new projects in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US, it is an exciting time to join the company as it is well placed to grow exponentially over the next 3 years at least. Atkinson will work closely with both commercial and technical disciplines at CNL Software, to help continue driving forward the company’s customer-focused growth strategy.

“Our IPSecurityCenter PSIM solution is the premier choice security management product for the world’s most critical, high value, complex and integrated security operations”, says Keith Bloodworth, CEO at CNL Software. "We are excited to have Darren join CNL Software at such a pivotal point in the company's history. In particular, Darren will make a significant contribution to adding more value to each client as we continue to build vertical market ready ‘out-of-the-box’ software solutions. From our time at FormScape together, he brought the company’s products to another level, created a top level delivery team and was able to understand how to turn major technology in to dynamic business solutions.”

Taking the lead in advancing delivery programmes

“CNL Software has a great team of talented, committed staff and it is my privilege to work alongside them”, adds Darren Atkinson, CTO at CNL Software. “I look forward to taking the lead in advancing our development and delivery programs to ensure that we continue to meet the high standards expected by our customers while providing innovative solutions that will drive the security industry forward. My experience of simplifying complex products to deliver greater functionality “out the box” will benefit both end users and channel partners."

During his tenure at FormScape Software, Atkinson was a key member of the executive team that delivered their enterprise solution, focusing on the Global Fortune 100 companies integrating directly with the major Tier 1 ERP providers SAP, JD Edwards and Oracle through key technology partnerships with IBM, HP and Microsoft. FormScape software successfully raised investment capital, completed an MBO and was subsequently acquired by Bottomline Technologies (Nasdaq: EPAY).
