CNL Software, a world leader in Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, is pleased to announce the deployment of a Spanish language version of its IPSecurityCenter PSIM solution as part of a localisation project supporting customers in Europe and Latin America.

As organisations update their security systems, more and more are turning to PSIM solutions to manage their operations. CNL Software has identified the need to provide local language versions of IPSecurityCenter to support security operators, who do not have English as a second language, to carry out their duties. The Spanish version offers a fully localised operator interface including any configured graphical user interfaces such as process guidance and includes tools to translate configured user interfaces. Multiple operator languages can co-exist in the same solution with the operator selecting a preferred language at login.

“In Latin America in particular, our experience is that although operators in command centres may have an understanding of English, they are far more comfortable working in Spanish especially when securing critical environments”, explains Carlos Aguilar, Business Development Manager at Prodar. “The importance of IPSecurityCenter being offered in Spanish is that it reduces the uncertainty and change that users often face when deploying new software. It will help staff to learn quickly and to develop a much better understanding of the system on a deeper level. This is a real benefit when situation management requires rapid response via process guidance”.

“By some estimates, Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world with over 400 million speakers so it is very important to our end users to provide a Spanish version of IPSecurityCenter”, says Ramon Grado, CPP, Director of Sales at CNL Software - Americas. “As a truly global PSIM company, we are committed to supporting our clients worldwide. Our on-going localisation project continues to help our customers enhance situational awareness, improve their response to events and ensure compliance through the merging of disparate systems.”

The Spanish version of IPSecurityCenter provides a single Common Operating Platform (COP) and process guidance for all of an organisation’s mission critical security systems across operators with varying roles and permission levels.
