The partnership under CNL Software TAP will result in the development of a robust interface between CAD and IPSecurityCenter PSIM platform
The companies will provide aggregated intelligence for situation management aimed at law enforcement and security

CNL Software, a world leader in Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, is pleased to announce its technology partnership with Tiburon, Inc., a portfolio company of The Gores Group and the leading provider of integrated computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and records management system (RMS) solutions. The companies will provide aggregated intelligence for situation management aimed at law enforcement, security, fire and rescue, corrections and federal agencies.

Tiburon’s CAD product offers an advanced Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system operating in multi-jurisdictional or multi-agency environments, allowing agencies to manage, log and respond to emergency calls as well as navigate the impending challenges of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). The technology partnership under the CNL Software Technology Alliance Program (TAP) will result in the development of a robust Interface between CAD and the IPSecurityCenter PSIM platform to provide automated dispatch responses to events identified by security devices.

IPSecurityCenter will monitor security systems such as CCTV, motion detectors, gunshot detection and automatic license plate recognition (LPR) and when specified parameters are met, will automatically create an event within the Tiburon CAD system - the event is plotted on the map along with the address field and agency that is responsible for handling the event. The dispatch team at the agency designated to respond to a particular type of event will receive an automated response request. For example, a gunshot event picked up by a detector can trigger automatic, simultaneous alerts to law enforcement, medical services and Special Weapons and Tactics response teams.

“Tiburon CAD automatically recommends the appropriate resources based on agency specifications and user-defined criteria such as responder skills, availability, territorial responsibility and proximity”, explains Cliff Micham, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Tiburon. “Integrating CAD and PSIM situation awareness technologies will enable higher rates of incident detection as well as improved emergency preparedness and more precise use of time and resources.”

“In the light of increased terrorism, natural disasters and the current global economic climate Cities, in particular, are looking at new technologies to help them identify, understand and resolve incidents in which require less personnel time”, says Keith Bloodworth, CEO at CNL Software. “Using a PSIM/CAD solution to detect and respond to events before they escalate can save lives, limit damage and ensure safer cities.”
