SANS Germany 2012 will take place at Arcotel Camino in Stuttgart from 10th -15th March 2012
SANS is offering a 250-euro discount to students who register for the event by 25 January 2012

After a four year absence, SANS will be running an event in Germany this March (5-10) following substantial demand from security professionals, military and large enterprises across the region.

SANS Germany 2012 includes MGT512: SANS Security Leadership Essentials for Managers. This intense five day course will be run by Stephen Northcutt, the founder of the GIAC certification and current president of the SANS Technology Institute.

For developers, SANS is offering its DEV522: Defending Web Applications Security Essentials with Johannes Ullrich. This is the first time this session has been offered in EMEA and is intended for anyone tasked with implementing, managing, or protecting Web applications.

In addition, the popular SEC504: Hacker Techniques Exploits and Incidents will be returning to Germany after a 4 year break. The session will be led by George Bakos and includes an update on the latest computer attack vectors and how to stop them.

SANS is offering a 250-euro discount to students who register for the event by the 25th of January, 2012. "The event has only a limited number of places and after a 2 year break from Europe MGT512 returns to meet a growing demand from security managers to ensure that they and their teams are best placed to deal with the ongoing cyber threat. MGT512 also prepares students for the GSLC certification which meets the requirement of DoD 8570 IAM Level 1, 2 & 3 which is critical for security managers based at the US military facilities in the area" explains Gareth Dance, Conference Director for SANS EMEA.

"Our event in London last December hit capacity, breaking previous attendance records, even considering the wider economic landscape, proving without a doubt that IT security is a vital requirement to all organisations, large or small, and we expect to fill the course relatively quickly," Dance adds.

SANS Germany 2012 will take place at Arcotel Camino in Stuttgart from 5th-10th March 2012.
