Across six days attendees will participate in advanced penetration testing and ethical hacking courses |
This June, the SANS Institute will host Pen Test Berlin, the largest dedicated training event for ethical hackers in Europe. From the 3rd to the 8th of June 2013, the Radisson Blu Hotel on the bank of Berlin's River Spree will welcome IT security experts keen to update their skills and learn new techniques. Across six days, attendees will participate in advanced penetration testing and ethical hacking courses led by SANS globally renowned, expert instructors. Each evening, SANS will host a series of "@Night talks" and social functions across a wide range of subject areas.
Pen Test Berlin will also feature a special NetWars, allowing delegates to compete in a mock environment to test their defensive, analysis, and offensive cyber skills, fighting off intruders while trying to take over other target systems and networks.
“Pen Test Berlin brings together a community of like-minded experts, practitioners and individuals keen to progress their skills in a unique and vibrant environment for real knowledge sharing,” explains Gareth Dance, Conference Director for SANS, “All courses are either advanced or expert level and we are giving European students another chance to take SANS SEC642, the new, advanced web app penetration testing and ethical hacking course.” Additional courses at the six day event include:
SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking taught by Pieter Danhieux
SEC575: Mobile Device Security and Ethical Hacking taught by Raul Siles
SEC617: Wireless Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, and Defenses taught by Steve Armstrong
SEC660: Advanced Penetration Testing, Exploits, and Ethical Hacking taught by Stephen Sims
The courses provide essential preparation for a number of Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) exams including GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Assessing and Auditing Wireless Networks (GAWN) and GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN). Attendees that register and pay by April 17th can save up to €250 on tuition fees with discounts offered to early registrants. Students should register online at http://www.sans.org/info/128420
