The conference features nationally recognised speakers and provides workshops on entrepreneurship

Tyco Security Products, part of Tyco, the world’s largest pure-play fire protection and security company, announced recently it is a proud sponsor of the Massachusetts Conference for Women, which will host its 10th annual event on December 4 in Boston. The conference features nationally recognised speakers and provides professional women with workshops and seminars on entrepreneurship, professional development and personal /professional life balance.

A committed supporter of bringing more women into technology-related fields, Tyco Security Products will showcase some of its innovative solutions during the conference as well as bring one of its dynamic leaders to host an important panel. Anita Santos, Vice President of Marketing for Tyco Security Products, will host “Transitions and Risk Taking: Lessons Learned While Becoming Brave,” featuring a panel of experts who will discuss professional ambition, risk taking and how to affect a smooth professional transition. With more than 18 years of business-to-business marketing and sales experience, including 12 years of executive leadership in the science, technology and research industries, Santos leads Tyco Security Products’ business and marketing strategy development, manages product management teams and oversees channel management activities.

“There are simply not enough women leaders in technology fields and, in particular, security technology.  We have a unique opportunity at this important conference to network with some of the region’s strongest leaders and introduce the idea of innovative technology in the security field to women who are just starting their careers,” said Santos.

Passionate about supporting startup organisations, Santos is an SEC accredited investor and owner of Ascend Investments LLC, an angel investment firm. She also serves as an advisory member of Astia Angels, which provides women start-ups with access to capital.

The sold-out conference will be attended by more than 8,000 women from around the world, offering exhibitions, a Career Pavilion for employment seekers, a Young Women’s Program for high school juniors and seniors and the announcement of the winner of this year’s “Be the Change Award.”
