The detection and remote signalling device were customised to deter thieves at various isolated sites |
Kent-based ICL Solutions has recently completed several projects incorporating the Optex battery powered AX-TFR active beam range and a specialised battery powered GPRS control signalling device from an OEM partner.
Darren Elvin, Director of ICL explains that the customer was looking for a battery powered detection and remote signalling device for several isolated sites which were being plagued by the theft of valuable materials and plant equipment: "All of the sites were remote, making the need for reliability even more important as response was key.
"We initially contacted Optex with the view of utilizing the VX402RGSM as it offered a device for remote site security, however after discussions with Optex a more bespoke solution was created in line with the site conditions."
"The BoundaryGard range of products provide a host of external detection solutions for both CCTV and non-visually verified sites," says Paul Nicholas, Divisional Manager of Optex: "Our battery powered and wireless devices can integrate with a number of OEM rapid deployment systems creating bespoke solutions for the man guarding and electronic security markets to utilise in any number of applications."
The AX-100TFR and AX-200TFR from Optex is a revolution in the perimeter security industry, offering a significant cost saving alternative to a traditional hardwired system. No trenching is required, drastically reducing installation costs. The unit comes wireless ready with a multi functional back box and is compatible with most manufacturers' wireless systems. The AX-TFR series comes with four 3.6V batteries, with an average lifespan of five years on the 100ft model and three years on the 200ft model.
