CHQ and PTS merger will see increased investment in graduate recruitment and intern programmes for promising young engineers in surveillance, IT security
PTS and CHQ’s combined offering will target opportunities across the world where security is of critical importance

UK physical security consultancy, CHQ has been acquired by global IT consultancy, PTS. The merger allows PTS Consulting to provide physical security expertise as part of a combined offering that meets their customers’ demand for converged IT, security and audio-visual solutions.

PTS operates in 10 countries across four continents and the merger underlines the company’s aim of excelling with a holistic offering across complementary engineering disciplines. The combined offering will target opportunities across the world where security is of critical importance such as corporate estates, government, data centres, custodial, Critical National Infrastructure and transportation.

Kevin Brownell, now a partner in PTS Consulting, said: “Since the IP revolution, physical security, IT and audio-visual have belonged on the network and this merger underlines that. Presenting physical security as a separate discipline is no longer valid and customers expect integrated solutions. CHQ combining with PTS is an example of joined-up thinking. We’ve been working together on projects for several years and the acquisition provides a seamless offering to our combined customer base.”

Over the last twelve months CHQ have worked on a broad range of projects that include data centres, government facilities, prisons and London Gateway – a major new deep-sea container port on the Thames Estuary.

The merger will see increased investment in graduate recruitment and intern programmes for some of the most promising young engineers in surveillance, IT security and AV as PTS builds on its integrated workforce serving over 3,500 clients.
