VidSys PSIM software 7.5 offers new geocoding functionality, enabling operators to identify locations
VidSys 7.5 release provides increased flexibility and customisation for security operators

VidSys, a leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, is realising success across Europe and the Middle East following the 7.5 release of its PSIM software platform. The completion of rapid deployments and new projects wins within the enterprise, government and transportation sectors, including a major port in London, signals the growing interest in VidSys PSIM software across the region.

The 7.5 release provides increased flexibility and customisation for an enriched experience for both administrators and security operators. The updated features – including mapping enhancements, advanced search capabilities and other operational enhancements – will help users more easily manage and respond to events, allowing for better situation management and improved response times.

The VidSys PSIM software 7.5 offers new geocoding functionality, enabling operators to identify locations of interest based on address look-up for faster situational awareness. In addition, users now have the ability to create shared global or private salvos, enabling real-time collaboration between multiple users or agencies.

“PSIM technology is becoming more widely accepted and understood as customers realise a rapid return on investment while reducing overall organisational risk. We are busting the myth of expensive complexity, with a commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) software platform that integrates both IP and analogue technologies to deliver actionable information when identifying and resolving security situations,” said Darren Chalmers-Stevens, Vice President of EMEA, VidSys. “As a result, we’re seeing strong growth in the region as we continue to offer a far more cost-effective and easier option than ripping and replacing legacy systems.”

This release allows organisations to enforce standards and compliance requirements by defining action plans or ConOps that must be executed prior to an operator being able to log a situation as complete. This enables users to manage situations faster, with greater predictability and rigorous accountability. Other feature enhancements include additional map support on the VidSys PSIM mobile app and the ability to customise device icon policies, definable fonts and background colours on VidSys situation summary dashboards.
