DVTEL Inc., IP video surveillance technology pioneer, and VidSys, a provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, announced recently the integration of the DVTEL Latitude NVMS and the VidSys PSIM software. The strategic partnership streamlines usability, and provides more open systems options and feature sets to best serve both organizations’ customers.

The integration allows cameras connected to the DVTEL software to be viewed in the PSIM application. Functionalities include the ability to display live or recorded video; capture and save snapshots from video footage; manage bookmarks and clips from recorded video; export video; send PTZ, auto-iris, and auto-focus commands to any camera connected to Latitude; and set preset positions for cameras in real-time.

“We are excited to be taking this step with VidSys. PSIM is incorporating more open systems than ever before, and we want our customers to benefit from that as much as possible as it eases installation complexities,” said Yoav Stern, President and CEO, DVTEL. “This integration will allow us to marry our best-in-class Latitude NVMS with VidSys' industry-leading platform, which will benefit the end user with ease-of-use, a streamlined workflow and enhanced capabilities.”

“The integration of both companies’ systems will greatly benefit end users, who are increasingly drawn to the flexible features and options of open systems,” said Mike O’Dea, Vice President, Business Partnerships, VidSys. “By working closely with DVTEL, we provide customers with a layered security management system that delivers enhanced usability and greater situational awareness to manage risks.”
