Hirsch Electronics has announced the successful implementation of the Hirsch Electronics Security Management System in ArizonaHirsch Electronics, a leading access control and security management systems manufacturer, has announced the successful implementation of the Hirsch Electronics Security Management System at Arizona's Maricopa County.  Presently, the system integrates more than fifty County agencies including nearly 100 buildings, 16,000 card holders, and 1,300 card readers/alarm points, with expansion underway at several additional sites.

"We are very pleased with the performance of the Hirsch system here at the County," comments Jordan Dacquisto, Chief of Protective Services for the Facilities Management Department.  The Hirsch system is maintained and operated by the Protective Services Division of the County's Facilities Management Department.  They are responsible for more than 300 buildings and 35 high-risk sites, to include half a dozen downtown high-rise buildings.

The County had searched for an enterprise-class system to consolidate existing stand-alone systems and to provide the ability to use one card type, programmed for all departments and locations.  The Hirsch system was selected for its virtually unlimited expansion capabilities, ability to easily integrate into brand new facilities as well as 100-year-old buildings, ease of installation and use, and its ability to utilise the latest biometric security devices.

Mr. Dacquisto adds, "We are constantly expanding the existing system, due to the fact we continue to purchase, build, or remodel facilities that must be protected.  Benson Systems, the systems integrator for this project, is currently working on the Durango Jail project, new County Facilities Management building and the Sheriff's Office Training Facility.  All buildings will have the Hirsch Security Management System with integrated security, intercom and CCTV."
