The FIDO Alliance has more than 150 members, including technology suppliers and large consumer-facing organisations that need to improve their customer experience

Identiv’s leadership in the market provides customers and partners with identity solutions that strengthen authentication

Identiv, a global security technology company that provides trusted identity solutions for premises, information, and everyday items, recently announced that it has joined the FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance joining industry leaders committed to making authentication faster, easier, and stronger.

The FIDO Alliance has more than 150 members, including technology suppliers and large consumer-facing organisations that need to improve their customer experience and reach levels of security not possible with usernames and passwords. Identiv’s leadership in the market provides customers and partners with identity solutions that simplify and strengthen authentication.

“Identiv believes in open platform-agnostic secure credentials. Joining the FIDO Alliance is complementary to this vision of strong, interoperable credentials,” said Jason Hart, Identiv CEO. “Identity is the foundation of our trust solutions and the future of online authentication. We have entered the Post-Password Era and it’s imperative that we strive to ensure worldwide adoption of stronger user credentials.”

Large corporations are anxious to implement solutions that simplify the user experience. Using and managing passwords is a significant burden and the need for more secure solutions has been demonstrated time and again. The FIDO Alliance will provide technology standards that Identiv can leverage to deliver products and services in this market.
