HID Global enhances its iCLASS SE platform to deliver new capabilities for meeting current and future access control requirements

HID Global, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, recently announced that its new iCLASS® Seos™ card has been selected by the ASIS International organisation as a winner of the 2012 ASIS Accolades Security’s Best competition, which recognises the industry’s most innovative new technologies, products and services. Judges representing a cross-sector of end-users and technology experts evaluated more than 30 entries before selecting HID Global’s iCLASS Seos credential as one of the most innovative new solutions for 2012.

HID Global continues to enhance its iCLASS SE platform to deliver new capabilities for meeting current and future access control requirements. The addition of the iCLASS Seos card reinforces the platform with increased security, privacy and portability. Featuring a standards-based universal card edge, the iCLASS Seos is multi-application credential that supports a flexible data model to accommodate requirements from the most demanding applications. The credential is portable for use on NFC smartphones and provides data confidentiality /strong authentication with state-of-the-art cryptography for mutual authentication and data encryption that protects the privacy of contactless communications.

Global parent company ASSA ABLOY, which has launched a Seos ecosystem for issuing, delivering and revoking digital keys on mobile phones with NFC technology.
