HID Global successfully exhibited its current portfolio of Identity and Access Management solutions
HID on the Desktop™  won Innovative Achievement Prize in the Access Control category
HID Global, the trusted source for solutions for the delivery of secure identity, is pleased to announce that its HID on the Desktop™ solution was awarded the Innovative Achievement Prize in the Access Control category by the Detektor International Awards 2009, in Stockholm, Sweden.

The 10th annual Detektor International prize ceremony was held at the Sectech Expo and coincided with the opening day of the Swedish show, one of the industry's leading trade shows in Europe and the Nordic region, where HID Global successfully exhibited its current portfolio of Identity and Access Management solutions.

The winning products' criteria were based on both innovation and customer orientation. The jury's verdict was: "With this product HID has once again made an important contribution to the management and improvement of security throughout commercial and public organisations."

HID on the Desktop represents a bold departure from the product positioning and value propositions offered by other strong authentication solutions on the market. Built out of a need to balance ease-of-use, cost and diverse security requirements, this economical solution allows organizations to leverage existing physical access cards, enabling physical access control integrators to use HID technology to provide customers with complementary logical access solutions.

"HID Global is honoured to be recognised by Detektor International Awards," said Ian Compton, director of sales, U.K., Ireland and the Nordic countries, for HID Global. "This award serves as validation for HID Global's development of onvenient and cost-effective smart card solutions that improve PC and network security."
