Anthony Ball appointed as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, Identity and Access Management for HID

HID Global, the trusted leader in providing solutions for the delivery of secure identity, recently announced that Anthony Ball has been appointed Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, Identity and Access Management (IAM), for HID Global, reporting to Steve Wagner, senior vice president.  In his new role, Mr. Ball will play a strategic role in realising market-facing synergies, while focusing on driving innovative growth initiatives in physical access control (PACS), logical access control (LACS) and secure card issuance, as well as developing solutions, selling strategies and key channel-centric programs.

"Tony's extensive background and leadership capabilities make him the right choice to further expand HID's IAM sales and marketing presence worldwide," said Steve Wagner.  "His proven track record will no doubt make a significant contribution to reinforcing the company's commitment toward strengthening the value of HID technology, products and services for the identity and access control market."

Prior to his recent promotion, Mr. Ball served as the managing director, EMEA, where he was responsible for the strategic development and implementation of business objectives and growth within the highly competitive region.  By leveraging the company's strategic objectives and building strong relationships with customers and partners throughout the region, Mr. Ball was successful in his mission.

Well regarded for his ability to achieve profitability and growth, Mr. Ball has considerable international experience working within the physical and logical access control industry, specifically in the areas of smart cards, secure issuance and mobile and ePayment solutions.  Prior to joining HID, Mr. Ball held several executive positions of increasing responsibility within Gemalto, Axalto and Schlumberger.
