HID Global, the trusted leader in providing solutions for the delivery of secure identity, today announced that Nathan Cummings has been designated a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (IISSCC).  Augmenting the company's recent commitment to logical access applications, Mr. Cummings certification demonstrates HID's dedication to addressing the personnel requirements demanded by the emerging convergent security environment.

Industry experts acknowledge that as converged security environments become more common, an expanded skill set of tools and techniques are needed to adapt and respond to new threats.  By excelling in knowledge and understanding of IISSCC's 10 domains, Mr. Cummings' certified qualifications are unique in the physical security realm and represent a visionary approach to solving business problems faced by today's top organizations.  In his role as HID Global's director, Integration/Applications, HID Connect™ Mr. Cummings has been an invaluable contributor to the development and support of a number of leading initiatives within the company's physical access product line and its recently announced expansion into logical access and convergent applications.
