HID Global will also showcase Vigo-based LogiTag 121 based on its Vigo HF technology |
HID Global®, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, recently announced it will showcase its Identification Technologies division’s broad portfolio of radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions in Booth #116 at RFID Journal Live! Included will be tags with its new Vigo™ HF technology, the first ISO 15693 chips assembled with HID Global direct bonding technology.
Direct bonding allows the secure attachment of antennas to chips without the bulk of added modules, making Vigo units the smallest HF formats available on the market that deliver uncompromised performance. Vigo-based LogiTag™ 121 will be showcased as one of the smallest industrial on-metal disc tags available.
RFID Journal Live, the world’s largest event focused on RFID and related technologies, is taking place at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center from April 8-10. During the conference, visitors to the HID Global booth #116 can learn more about one of the industry’s broadest portfolios of advanced RFID solutions for a wide range of applications and industries, including logistics; automation and manufacturing; medical and healthcare; returnable transport items; and waste management.
Key demonstrations:
- HID Trusted Tag Services™: Show attendees will experience demonstrations of HID Trusted Tag Services, an RFID Journal Awards Best in Show finalist in the “new RFID tag or reader antenna” category. HID Trusted Tag Services combines trusted NFC tags with a secure cloud authentication services and enables mobile devices to interact with everyday objects in new and exciting ways with use cases, such as the convenience of tapping a smart poster for a secure brand interaction to verifying the authenticity of a luxury item or proof of presence.
- SlimFlex™ Seal, InLine and Glass Tags: Also showcased will be several additional new products, including SlimFlex Seal Tag, a family of high-durability UHF RFID industrial container tags with an integrated cable tie that enhances tracking capabilities and prevents tampering. Also featured will be InLine Tag™ Plate UHF transponders, which enable containers or machinery to be labelled simultaneously for both electronic and visual data reader systems, and the latest addition to the Glass Tag family: two miniaturised high frequency transponders that deliver HF performance in an extremely compact chip and antenna assembly.
- SlimFlex to Capture the Thrill of Zip Lining in Hawaii’s Rainforest: Snapsportz will demonstrate its use of Genuine HID® SlimFlexc tags to trigger cameras that take pictures of guests along Princeville Ranch Adventures’ nine zip line courses in the rugged rainforest valleys of Kauai’s north shore. RFID technology in the Snapsportz system allows simultaneous triggering of image capture as well as each image’s assignment to an individual guest, so images can be automatically sorted and retrieved on demand.
HID Global’s industry expertise will also be demonstrated in conference presentations. Richard Aufreiter, director of product management for Identification Technologies with HID Global, will participate in a panel discussion on “Choosing the Right RFID Technology for Manufacturing and Harsh Environments” on Tuesday, April 8 at 2:45 p.m.
