Winfrasoft’s PINgrid solution demonstrated at Infosecurity Europe 2013
Managing Director Steven Hope was presented with the award at Hilton Park Lane, London

Winfrasoft, the multi-factor authentication security specialists, are recently proud to announce that its PINgrid solution has been awarded the Best Secure Transaction Solution at the prestigious SC Awards Europe 2013. The annual awards are the most coveted and prestigious accolades for the information security industry.

Managing Director of Winfrasoft, Steven Hope was presented with the award last night at the ceremony hosted in the Hilton Park Lane, London. “We are delighted that Winfrasoft and PINgrid have received this recognition by our security industry peers,” comments Hope. “The importance of ensuring transactions can be completed securely and conveniently cannot be underestimated, when it comes to protecting the assets and reputation of the organisation, and instilling confidence in all it transacts with.”

Winfrasoft PINgrid provides organisations of all sizes with a compelling alternative to costly and cumbersome hard-token two factor authentication (2FA), which can frustrate and drive away customers. PINgrid delivers highly secure 2FA at significantly reduced cost, whilst improving the customer experience, by placing an app on customer's mobile devices to act as a secure soft token. Hope explains: “Rather than generating a one-time code, these tokens use an ever changing randomly generated number grid system, from which a user sets their own unique pattern and enter the corresponding numbers from the pattern when logging on or completing a transaction.”

"We are delighted that
Winfrasoft and PINgrid
have received this
recognition by our
security industry peers"

Crucially, with no expensive hardware to procure or maintain, PINgrid can be easily deployed from one of six app stores and managed centrally using the organisations existing Active Directory.  Hope continues: “This ability to distribute security enhancement is vitally important as cybercriminals continue their assault on cracking 2FA systems.” The customer and/or employee simply accept any app updates on their phone when notified to take advantage of new security features.

PINgrid is currently being demonstrated alongside Winfrasoft’s other secure authentication solutions in its AuthCentral platform – PINphrase and PINpass -  on stand P90 at Infosecurity Europe 2013, Earls Court, London which runs until Thursday 25th April.
