The response has been outstanding with visitors, exhibitors, key associations and media partners all expressing their commitment to IFSEC International in London 2014
IFSEC International will continue to unite all parts of the security buying chain in the event

UBM Live’s Protection & Management Series will be moving to ExCel London from June 2014, UBM Live recently revealed the overwhelming support received from the industry following the news.

The response has been outstanding with visitors, exhibitors, key associations and media partners all expressing their commitment to IFSEC International in London 2014. Feedback received from every element of the buying chain cements the reasons behind the decision to move the Protection & Management Series – which includes IFSEC International, FIREX International, Facilities Show, and Safety & Health Expo – from the NEC after 16 years, to London’s leading international venue.

IFSEC International will continue to unite all parts of the security buying chain in a truly integrated event. The focus for new features and visitor experience will remain on the core audience of installers, end-users, integrators, distributors and manufacturers, adding even more strength to one of the world’s largest security and fire shows.

Jordi Andreu, President (Installation and Services), ADT UK, Ireland and MENA, said: “ADT UK is delighted to see UBM’s Protection and Management Series move to an internationally accessible location. Events like IFSEC International offer the security industry a global showcase and a London venue will enable visitors, exhibitors and partners to make the most of this world-class event.”

"IFSEC International offers the security industry a global showcase and a London venue will enable visitors, exhibitors and partners to make the most of this world-class event"

Security professional and IFSEC visitor, David Gill CSyP FSyI, Managing Director, Linx International, said: “Having the opportunity to easily interact with our international clients and other major industry players in such a renowned location can only enhance the benefits of the ‘must attend’ event that is IFSEC International. The ExCel Exhibition Centre is a modern venue with great facilities. This is an excellent move. Well done to all the team at UBM Live.”

Extensive market research conducted over the past 12 months with key stakeholders, identified that this is a move in-line with what the market needs. Leading associations including: BSIA, FIA, FPA, NSI, SSAIB, and SyI underpinned the research and many have confirmed exclusive support for the respected 40 year IFSEC pedigree.

“On behalf of the National Security Inspectorate may I congratulate UBM Live on recognising the increasing importance of the need to move IFSEC International and FIREX International back to London. I have no doubt that the move to London in 2014, which is fully supported by the NSI, will take both IFSEC International and FIREX International to a new level,” said Chris Pinder, External Affairs Director, National Security Inspectorate (NSI).

Geoff Tate, Chief Executive, Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB), confirmed his support and said: “With the 40th Edition of IFSEC International taking place at the NEC this year, the show’s move to a new London venue in 2014 seems like a coming of age. For the SSAIB, this announcement promises an opportunity to engage with an even wider audience of security and fire system installers as well as professionals, insurers, consultants and end users.”

"IFSEC International’s return in 2014 is an exciting move for the industry as a whole"

Embracing international growth is a key driver for the future of IFSEC International and the other events within the Protection & Management Series. With 30% of IFSEC’s 25,000 visitors coming from overseas currently, being based in the most connected city in Europe positions IFSEC perfectly for further international growth, as well as maintaining its position as the event of choice for the UK market. Dr Peter Speight DBA MPhil MSc NEBOSH MIRM, Director of Security Risk Management, Securitas Security Services, commented: “The London event will draw more visitors due to superior transport links and the ability for visitors to drop in and out of meetings while they’re in the vicinity of the City. It’s a top decision.”

In addition, leading exhibitors have confirmed their support as Linda Mansillo Kear, Vice-President, Marketing Communications for Tyco Security Products, said: “IFSEC International is a key industry event for Tyco Security Products and we are extremely pleased to see that UBM Live have acknowledged the feedback from the market and taken the steps to move to ExCeL, London in 2014.”

Exhibitor, Peter Hawksworth, Chief Executive Officer, Security Products From Siemens, confirmed this: “As the recent 2012 Olympic Games demonstrated, London is a truly global city and an essential destination for visitors from across the world. It’s also a city that is resolutely open for business, so IFSEC International’s return in 2014 is an exciting move for the industry as a whole. I very much look forward to it!”

Key media partners have also given exclusive support as Andy Clutton, Editor, Pro-Activ Publications said: “Pro-Activ Publications is delighted to be exclusively supporting IFSEC International. We fully support this exciting development as IFSEC positions itself in order to continue to serve the security and fire markets for the future.”

Support has also been received from a broad range of integrators, installers and end-users including: 2020 Vision Systems, ADT UK, Ireland and MENA, AMEC plc, Anixter, ARAS & RBH Security Group Limited, ARUP Resilience, Security and Risk, BSIA Export Section, CCTV Direct, Cyber Risk and Security, The Security Institute, GenieCCTV, Happold Safe & Secure, IDIS, Integrated Design Limited, Linx International, Maven International (UK, Merit LILIN), National Security Inspectorate, Nedap AVI, Nomura International plc, Pro-Activ Publications, Risco, Securitas Security Services, Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board, Shen Milsom & Wilke, Siemens, Telereal Trillium, Thales Australia & New Zealand, Tyco Security Products, Urmet UK, Videotec S.p.A.
