UTC’s Ziton ZP2 range of fire alarm systems feature extended network capabilities, positioning this solution into even larger network-based fire systems
At IFSEC, UTC will highlight combined technologies that integrate with Ziton life-safety technology

UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp., will showcase its Ziton ZP2 life-safety solution at the International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference (IFSEC), stand G1300, Hall S14, with a special focus on integration and mobile services.

With UTC’s emphasis on integrated product development, the company is demonstrating how products from different fields can now work together more easily, benefiting both installers and their customers.

“The potential for integrating life-safety solutions and fire solutions is not yet fully realised by the market,” said Kenn O. Larsen, Marketing Manager, North & East Europe, UTC Building & Industrial Systems. “At IFSEC we will highlight combined technologies that integrate Ziton life-safety technology with our portfolio of access control, intrusion and video solutions for the benefit of the end users and installers. The ZP2 control panel is the first fire alarm panel to support integral IP communication as standard, and we will be showing the benefits this brings in an increasingly IP interconnected world.”

Newly introduced features in the Ziton ZP2 range of fire alarm systems will also be demonstrated at the show, including extended network capabilities, positioning this solution into even larger network-based fire systems. There is also support for the new cutting-edge Ziton wireless hub and cluster communicators and new wireless device types, including EN54-23 approved visual alarm devices (VADs), resulting in flexible hybrid wired and wireless fire alarm systems.

“Last but not least, we will unveil a surprise for installers and end users, making service and maintenance much easier,” Larsen said. “With the launch of our first fire mobile application, we can now offer a strong set of features for mobile users.”

The new FireMobile server and mobile client combination features system status check, check and confirm notifications, event log, reset, sound/silence, enable/disable and the one-man walk test (OMWT), with everything controlled on a mobile device.

Mobile security and fire-integrated security solutions are today becoming big business. IFSEC visitors can experience the new possibilities delivered by the latest technology.
