Connexion2 and G4S Justice Services, LLC have announced a new partnership
Connexion2 is intended to provide lone worker security in North American market
Connexion2 and G4S Justice Services, LLC have announced a new partnership to deliver tailored lone worker solutions in the USA & Canada across a range of market sectors incorporating a wide variety of lone worker applications. The manufacturer of the UK's most widely-used dedicated lone worker device, Identicom, are teaming up with the electronic monitoring services heavyweight in order to facilitate a range of leading solutions to help lone workers dynamically assess and reduce risks faced as part of their job.

The safety of lone workers is clearly not a concern that is exclusive to the United Kingdom. Cost resulting from lone worker risk in the USA is considerable with workplace violence costing around $121 billion per annum with an additional $16 million in lost wages according to figures released by NIOSH in 2011. Data provided by Bureau of Labor Statistics also suggest that 5% of private industry establishments experience at least one incident of workplace every year. In Canada there are similar trends with the Justice Department's Bureau of Justice Statistics also stating that one in six crimes occurs in the workplace.

G4S Justice Services is the premier provider of advanced monitoring services in the United States. G4S Justice Services is being supplied with Identicom devices by Connexion2 and from there are supplying lone worker solutions in conjunction with industry leading Alarm Receiving Centres providing the first line of response to any alerts subsequently raised.

The multi award-winning Identicom is the wearable and discreet lone worker device disguised as an identity card holder. It allows users easy use in the face of verbal abuse or attack, or if ‘Man Down' through automatic incapacity detection giving employers peace of mind, a reduction in business risk and lone workers a vital communication tool should the worst occur.

Chris Allcard, Sales Director at Connexion2 commented: "We are proud to announce the partnership with G4S in the US.  Their infrastructure, staff skills and experience, and understanding of the needs of various types of lone workers has enabled them to create compelling solutions around our devices and technologies.  We look forward to supporting them as they develop this market."

Darryl Martin, President of G4S Justice Services, LLC commented: "With the number of lone workers rising, organisations face increased pressure to proactively protect their workforce in order to demonstrate corporate responsibility. The G4S LoneProtector solution provides vulnerable lone workers with market leading security protection while giving organisations peace of mind."
