Donations raised will be evenly split between the company’s chosen charity

The Corps team will take it in turns on a static rowing machine, rowing through the night and all of the following day

Four fitness fanatics from Corps Security are hoping to raise several thousand pounds for a number of charities during a 24 hour ‘rowathon’, on Thursday 26th June this year.

Starting at 5.30pm at the Corps Security headquarters in Cowcross Street, London, the team will take it in turns on a static rowing machine, rowing through the night and all of the following day.

Eric Roberts, Gary Broad, Rob Hill and Jason Taylor will be on full view to the public at the front of Corps Security’s building, which the team is hoping will help muster local support.

Donations raised will be evenly split between the company’s chosen charity – the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund – and the individuals’ chosen charities, which are the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, and Mind.

According to team leader and organiser, Eric Roberts:  “We have all done our bit individually for our chosen charities, but we wanted a challenge that we could do together, to give each other moral support.  I’ve no doubt it will be a very long night but we’re asking for the support of our colleagues and business partners who we hope will tweet and text us with words of encouragement along the way!”
