Corps Security will now be promoting GJD's D-TECT detectors to its approved installation partners |
Corps Security has announced a new strategic partnership with GJD Manufacturing, an industry leader in the design, manufacture and supply of security electronics and motion detectors. This agreement will allow Corps Security to promote GJD’s state-of-the-art D-TECT range of presence detectors to its growing number of approved installation partners.
Based in Heywood, Lancashire, GJD was established 29 years ago in a small workshop in Bolton. Since that time its products have become the industry’s most popular presence detectors for the activation of CCTV and other security systems. Suitable for use in an extensive range of commercial and high-end residential properties they are already widely utilised across a number of locations that are observed by the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC).
Based in Glasgow, the CMC provides remote monitoring services to a wide range of customers across many market sectors on an independent basis, or as part of an integrated service incorporating manpower and technology. Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, explained, "The CMC facility clearly demonstrates Corps Security’s ongoing commitment to innovation and forward thinking. It offers its clients the most advanced monitoring facilities in the UK and incorporates the highest specification equipment that is constantly upgraded."
The first D-TECT wired product was introduced in 2005 and the D-TECT 2, D-TECT 3, D-TECT 40 and D-TECT 50 variants are now also available, complemented by the high performance D-TECT X external wireless system, which provides a range of up to 500m. Mark Tibbenham, GJD’s managing director, commented, "The D-TECT range of detectors is extremely reliable – guaranteeing exceptional capture rates while keeping false and nuisance alarms to an absolute minimum. This means monitoring centres like the CMC only have to deal with genuine events, thereby reducing their operating costs and improving their service."
Eric Roberts adds, "We are so confident that GJD’s products will deliver their promises that Corps Security has taken the unprecedented step of offering its installation partners a discounted monitoring contract for using the CMC when motion detectors from GJD’s D-TECT range are deployed as part of an installation." He continues, "We pride ourselves on only using best in class systems at the CMC and would only recommend products that we have total confidence in. GJD is a leader in its field and its detectors offer a wide range of features to enhance the identification of threats and significantly reduce the likelihood of false alarms. This strategic partnership therefore provides a winning situation for the CMC, GJD, our installation partners and our clients."
The D-TECT range was originally launched at IFSEC and GJD will return to the event again this year. IFSEC International 2012 takes place on 14th-17th May at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham and senior representatives from the company will be on hand to demonstrate its products and systems, and promote its new agreement with Corps Security.
