Geutebruck has been awarded the contract to supply an extremely resilient CCTV system to secure the outer perimeter of Aramco's oil terminal at Ras Tanura on the Persian Gulf.  Here in Saudi Arabia the world's biggest oil company Saudi Aramco has an oil operations centre, a refinery and a port with artificial islands to facilitate deep-water docking for tankers.  The vast oil terminal with a 25-kilometre perimeter is now being equipped with a high security, high redundancy, CCTV solution designed to survive the unexpected and deal with it without significant impairment.  In line with the customer's requirements, the system being installed by STESA, incorporates redundant units which take over all functions from failed ones within 2 seconds, so ensuring that it provides a continuous, intelligently filtered security overview of the whole site.
